Computational models of productivities of hydraulically fractured oil wells
-
Abstract
Computational models of productivities of hydraulically fractured oil wells are built by using reservoir percolation theory and based on the finite conductivity of fractures. Software is programmed to analyze the influences of hydraulic fracturing parameters on oil well productivity. When the half- length of a fracture is given, the influences of fracture conductivity on IPR curves of oil wells are relatively small. While when fracture conductivity is given, the half- length of the fracture has remarkable influences on IPR curves of oil wells. Production of oil wells can increase significantly when the half - lengths of fractures increase. An optimum fracture conductivity exists for a given fracture half - length.
