Abstract:
As the vertical resolution of well logging curves is affected by the following factors such as surrounding rocks, wellbore and drilling mud, it is difficult to identify thin in-terbeded layers and obtain actual value of virgin zone. The wavelet analytic technique is to transform the depth domain signal into time domain and frequency domain signal spectrum, then conduct wavelet decomposition and frequency division processing of logging information. After that, vertical resolution of well logging is greatly enhanced, and the interbeded parameters such as porosity, permeability and water saturation are more accurately determined. Actual application in parts of wells in Dongpu depression shows that the technique has achieved good geologic effectiveness.
