Abstract: Wangji area is an area of multiple braches of provenance and it is the key and difficult area for rolling exploration in northern slope zone of Biyang.The area has the characteristics of complicated structure,various reservoir types and serious broken faulting.At present,the exploration target is compound reservoir and lithologic reservoir.Due to multiple branches of provenance,the reservoir plane distribution is complicated and the understanding of controlling factors on hydrocarbon accumulation is not clear,and the main problems for production in Wangji area are great difficulties in sand bodies and oil-water boundary prediction.Therefore,oil-bearing layers have been selected to carry out fine description of the matching relation between provenance direction of single sand body,sedimentary micro-facies types and the structures,and the first priority in Wangji area is to make clear the favorable oil layers distribution and its layer series.Meantime,making clear the reservoir distribution in different layer series and its role in hydrocarbon accumulation are the effective means to look for and find remaining hidden reservoirs in Wangji area.
