Abstract: The discrimination of various architectural elements is one of the difficult problems in reservoir architectural analysis. Seven basic architectural elements can be distinctly distinguished through core survey in the Shuanghe oilfield . Qualitative and quantitative methods are tried in architectural elements discrimination through the use of well log figures and eigenvalue crossplots based on study of the relation between lithology and log information. A comprehensive discrimination method of architechtural elements are presented.
