Abstract: Survival and development of drilling companies after oilfield company reconstruction are discussed in this pa-per.Relevant measures are presented to solve the prob-lems occurred when opening up international drilling mar-kets.It is believed that the markets where drilling com-panies are located are the basis for their survival while the international markets provide additional space for de-velopment in the future.Optimization of element resources allocation of key techniques,equipments and manpower,however,should be strengthened to improve the compe-tence of drilling companies in opening up international drilling markets.
