Abstract: Through the analysis of the sedimentary rock color, sedimentary structure, distribution characteristics of heavy minerals, particle size distribution and sand body distribution, the source direction and paleo-flow direction of Xia'ermen oilfield have been made clear, which provides powerful evidence for further studies. The results show there are two source directions. One is braided delta depositional system in the north and the other is nearshore fan delta and gravity flow system.
