Abstract: This paper analyzes the causes of low economic benefits of downhole operation in both theory and practice,and put forwards ways to improve it.Petroleum enterprises should put much emphasis oll accomplishing the two foundamental changes, adopting the idea of "economic yield"and prosecuting to the end the guiding principle of economic benefits being the central task in decision -making and management.
