Abstract: Gas lifting is a kind of recovery method through pumping high pressure gas into wells to lift fluid up to surface.It has the advantages of wide displacement range,large lift height,high corrosion resistance ability,simple downhole testing procedure and easy to manage and is suitable for utilization in high GOR wells,high-yielding deep wells,sand problem wells,directional wells,cluster wells as well as offshore production plat-forms.This paper introduces the application of gas lift optimization technology,analyzes the constraints and im-pacting factors of gas lift and presents several proposals in order to fur ther im prove this technolo gy and realize highly efficient development of oilfields.
