Abstract:
Bole basin has a good hydrocarbon prospect, while it has a low degree of geological research, therefore, the analysis of tectonic stress field should be carried out. Bole uplift with complex structural conditions was selected as the field survey area. By using the ancient tectonic analysis method, the tectonic stress field was analyzed. Through statistical analysis of jointing and fault development characteristics, three groups of faults and four joints were identified in the Bole uplift. By using conjugate x shear joint to determine the maximum principal stress orientation, and combined with regional tectonic evolution, four tectonic movements since Carboniferous in Bole basin were mainly developed. The four periods tectonic stress field were NNW-SSE thrust tectonic stress field of the early Permian, NWW-SEE thrust tectonic stress field of the early Permian-middle Permian, NEE-SWW thrust tectonic stress field of late Permian-Triassic, and NNESSW thrust tectonic stress field of late Jurassic to Cretaceous.
