Abstract: During the making process of synthetic seismogram, zero-phase and minimum phase wavelet are usually a-dopted, while the true information of wavelet phase is always overlooked.Actually the phase information is very important in synthetic seismogram, and an easier way of wavelet phase calibration can be put forward after that. This paper makes a detailed discussion on the methods of window wavelet extraction, which is to extract wavelet in different time widows by using the logging data and seismic data, and then average all the extracted wavelets to form a new wavelet The characteristic of the new wavelet is not only much better than that of single extracted one, but also can reduce the error caused by well-logging or seismic noise. The method has been applied to some block of Liaohe oil field to finish the meticulous horizon calibration and provide a concrete foundation for the subsequent reservoir prediction.
