Abstract: Well locations in exploration and/or development blocks can be determined according to "well points in polygon". Whether the well points are located in polygon can be determined according to the number of crossing points of perpendicular with the polygon being odd or even. This method can solve the problem of well point determination in any complex blocks. It is characterized by high level of automation, high accuracy, simple operation and high efficiency and has been popularized and applied in production at present.
